Markia is a Los Angeles–based actress, media personality, and storyteller originally from Jacksonville, Florida, where she built a strong artistic foundation through LaVilla School of the Arts, community theater, and Jacksonville University, including multiple performances at the historic Florida Theatre. She graduated with honors from Florida A&M University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Performing Arts before moving to New York City, where she worked with The Fresh Air Fund while continuing to study acting. Her career journey also includes time in Atlanta interning with Radio One Inc., further expanding her experience in media and broadcasting. Now a radio host in Los Angeles, she is currently on air every Wednesday from 9–10 AM on 95.1 FM. In 2021, she created and produced two seasons of her YouTube talk show Let Your Love Be Real, and in 2025, she wrote, directed, and produced her short film Checked Out, set to premiere in Spring 2026. Dedicated to mastering her craft, Markia continues to study theater acting and directing as she pursues her dream of becoming a voice-over artist and movie star.
